1. Who we are

2. Data we collect

• Organizer account data — name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text) when you sign up.
• Tournament, team, and player data — names, dates, formats, jersey numbers, positions, and any team logos or player photos you upload, all entered by you as the organizer.
• Match data — scores, sets, and point-by-point statistics recorded during live tracking.
• Payment data — handled entirely by our payment provider, Paddle.com. We never see or store your card details — only a payment status, a transaction reference, and a checkout reference for the tournament you purchased.
• Technical data — standard server logs (IP address, browser user agent, timestamps) generated automatically as part of running the Service.

3. How we use your data

We use this data to operate your account and tournaments, process payments, keep the Service secure, and communicate with you about your account. We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on VolleyPro.

4. Legal basis for processing

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we rely on: performing our contract with you (running your account and tournaments), our legitimate interest in operating and securing the Service, and consent where you've given it (for example, marketing communications, if any).

5. Data sharing

We don't sell your personal data. We share data only with the service providers we use to run VolleyPro: Paddle.com (payment processing — Paddle acts as merchant of record and has its own privacy policy), Cloudflare (file storage for photos and logos), and our database hosting provider. We may also disclose data if required by law.

6. Roster and player data

Team and player information is entered and controlled by the tournament organizer's account — players don't have their own VolleyPro accounts or logins. If you're an organizer, you're responsible for having the right to enter this information, including any consent needed for players who are minors. If you're a player (or a parent/guardian) with a concern about information an organizer has entered, please contact the organizer directly, or reach us at [email protected] and we'll help.

7. Data storage and retention

We keep your data for as long as your account or tournament exists. Deleting a tournament permanently deletes its teams, players, matches, and stats along with it. Deleting your organizer account permanently deletes your tournaments and all related data. This can't be undone.

8. Security

Passwords are stored as salted bcrypt hashes, never in plain text. Sessions use an HTTP-only, signed cookie so it can't be read or modified from the browser. Uploaded photos are stored in access- controlled cloud storage. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can update most of your data directly in your account, delete your own tournaments or account at any time, or contact us at [email protected] for anything else.

10. Cookies

VolleyPro uses one essential cookie to keep you signed in — it stores nothing more than a signed session token and isn't used for tracking or advertising. We don't currently use any third-party analytics or advertising cookies.

11. Children's privacy

VolleyPro accounts are for tournament organizers aged 18 and over; the Service itself isn't directed at children. See Section 6 above for how player roster data involving minors is handled.

12. International data transfers

Our service providers may process data in countries other than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for these transfers.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
